PURCHASING AND SENDING

Are there any fees associated with the delivery of an eGift Card?

No, delivery is free of charge so you just pay the face value of the egift card.

Can I change the value of an eGift Card after I have paid for it?

Unfortunately it is not possible to alter the value of the eGift Card after payment.

How do I cancel an order for an eGift Card?

If your eGift Card has not yet been delivered because you have selected a future delivery date, you can cancel by contacting customer services on 0371 8411003. If the eGift Card has already been delivered, your purchase cannot be cancelled.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa credit cards, Visa debit cards including Delta & Electron, Mastercard, Maestro (uk) / switch, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

What will appear on my card statement?

WHSmith eGift Card orders are processed by Voucher Express. This purchase will appear on your credit/debit card statement as 'Voucher Express'.

Can I buy an eGift Card and have it sent to myself?

Yes, you can. Many customers choose to have the eGift Card sent to themselves so they can print it off and present it as a gift. All you need to do is input your address in the delivery email fields.

What do I do if I want to place an order for eGift Cards over the value of £500?

Can I buy eGift Cards to re-sell?

No, re-sale of eGift Cards sold via this website is strictly prohibited. If you have a business enquiry regarding the purchase of eGift Cards, please contact the corporate team  on 0333 600 6666 so that they can take more details and obtain the necessary permissions. Please note also that the use of any WHSmith imagery (including the logo) is prohibited unless you first obtain written permission from the corporate team. 

RECEIVING AND REDEEMING

What does my recipient receive?

On your specified delivery date, your recipient will receive an email containing your gift message and a link to download their eGift Card. They will need to correctly confirm their email address to download it. Once, they have confirmed their email address, they will be presented with the eGift Card online and they will also be sent another email with PDF of the gift attached which they can print off.

Where and how can an eGift Card be redeemed?

An eGift Card can be used as full or part payment for goods in UK WHSmith stores (excluding concessions and stores located at motorway service stations, WHSmith Local, London Underground sites or WHS franchise stores), as well as online at www.whsmith.co.uk

Is there an expiry date on a eGift Card?

Yes, WHSmith eGift Cards have a 2 year expiry, from the date of purchase.

Will the eGift Card be ready to spend straight away?

Yes, once you or your recipient collect the eGift Card, it will be ready to use straight away!

Please note that all orders are security checked for your protection. Most orders are passed through without any delay, however on occasion we may need to check your order in more detail. This can take up to 12 hours and you or your recipient will not be able to collect the eGift Card until this is completed.

SECURITY AND RELIABILITY

How do I know that my recipient has actually received their eGift Card?

You will receive an email to confirm when your recipient has collected their eGift Card.
